VISUAL IDENTITY

2019

Mixtape is a curated exhibit by the Graphic Design batch of 2016. An amalgamation of the work done through the course of 3 years, Mixtape brings different voices together under one roof. It embodies the journey undertaken by every individual. 

 

The identity for the exhibit was a collaborative effort that was carried out entirely in a span of 2 days. Deriving from the eclectic nature of the work exhibited, the identity is reflective of the energy and diversity of all the individuals.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

The logotype is set in different styles of Gill Sans, a quirky and expressive typeface by Eric Gill. It is supported by fresh colours and a system of eccentric shapes. The logotype is variable, manifesting in different avatars across various touchpoints.

In the case of posters, the application is bold and upfront to draw attention. While in descriptive visuals, it takes a backseat to reduce noise and aid the viewer in reading the text.

Stickers as collectibles

DISPLAY PANELS

A simple system was developed for the design of the panels that would introduce the subject of the display to the viewer. Deriving from the visual language, each panel is unique as the orientation of the shapes and the headings vary in each panel.
